Kabaragoya

A five-foot Asian water monitor (Varanus salvator salvator, or kabaragoya, in Sinhalese) on the banks of a canal on the edge of Colombo. Adult males can measure over 9-ft and weigh in at over a hundred pounds, making this the second-heaviest lizard, after the Komodo dragon. Shot with a Canon EOS 600D and EF 50mm f/1.8 lens at 1/640, f/1.8, and ISO 100.
