The Buddha’s Final View of Adam’s Peak

The view of Adam’s Peak from the slopes below the Batatotalena, where the Buddha is said to have rested after his descent from the famous mountain. In the foreground is the Kuru Ganga Valley, with Adam’s Peak on the horizon to the east. In the middle ground, the flat-topped mountain is the Kunudiyaparvathaya. For more photographs, and a description of this legendary cave, go to my piece Mysteries in the Jungle: the Batatotalena Cave Temple in the February 2016 issue of Serendib magazine.
