The Groot Kerk, Galle, Sri Lanka
The Groot Kerk, a Dutch Reformed Church, is one of the oldest functioning Protestant churches in Sri Lanka, completed in 1775, on the highest point of the Galle Fort, 12m above sea level. Though built in the Doric style of the time, the double-scroll moulding along the top is unique to this building. Church Street, Galle Fort, September 2016.
