One of the lesser known members of the hawk moth family (Sphingidae), the relatively large yam hawk moth (Theretra nessus) has a wingspan of over 10cm, and is native to the Indian subcontinent, east and southeast Asia. Colombo, Sri Lanka, November 2016.
