The Pedro Tea Plantation, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka
This is the second-oldest tea plantation in Sri Lanka, its processing factory having been built in 1886 in the shadow of the Pidurutalagala (Mt Pedro) Ridge. The photograph shows the southern end of the ridge towering over the plantation and the factory grounds. Shot on assignment for Serendib magazine. My story, The Nuwara Eliya Season in Spring, ran in the April 2017 issue.
