As I complete my forty-sixth, I sometimes feel they’re right here too; married, divorced, fathers, or not. But they aren’t. They’re still nineteen. Everything stopped for them twenty-six years ago. At times I think a part of me stopped as well when they did. Poppy Day, 2017.
