Mosque in the Morning Light, Fort Galle, Sri Lanka

The Meeran Jumma Masjid as seen from Point Utrecht on the ramparts of Fort Galle, Sri Lanka. Built in 1910, the mosque unusually follows the style of a Portuguese Baroque cathedral. The fort itself dates back to 15th Century Portuguese fortifications that were then extensively expanded and built on by the Dutch in the 17th Century, and the British in the 18th Century. Shot in May 2015.
